Primark Qatar is now open. The Irish value fashion giant opened its first store in the country today, Wednesday 21 October 2026, at Doha Festival City, ending years of Qatar shoppers flying to London or Dubai for a Primark haul.

Primark Qatar Is Now Open
The opening came earlier than first announced. Alshaya Group had set 29 October 2026 for the Qatar launch, but the store opened its doors on 21 October with entertainment, giveaways and celebrations for the first customers.
Qatar is Primark’s 21st market worldwide and its fourth country in the Middle East. The Doha store is the brand’s sixth in the region, arriving one year after Primark entered the Middle East in Kuwait in October 2025, followed by the UAE and Bahrain.
Primark CEO Eoin Tonge called the opening a milestone for the brand’s regional growth. Alshaya Group CEO John Hadden said the response to the first Qatar store has been amazing, thanking the customers who joined the opening day.
Where Is the Primark Store in Doha Festival City?
Inside the mall
The store spans three levels inside Doha Festival City and covers more than 52,000 sq ft. Doha Festival City describes it as Primark’s first and largest store in Qatar, and a key anchor in the mall’s fashion portfolio.
With more than 400 staff, it is built for volume. Expect full departments rather than a small-format shop, with signage in English and Arabic throughout.
How to get to Doha Festival City
The mall sits in Umm Salal Mohammed, just off Al Shamal Road north of Doha. Most visitors drive, and the mall has large car parks plus a VIP valet service.

A Second Primark Is Already Planned for Qatar
A second Primark Qatar store will open at Villaggio Mall early in 2027. It follows the regional pattern, with a second Kuwait store at Aventura Mall and Primark’s first Saudi store at The Avenues Riyadh in March 2027 also confirmed.
