Question 1

How do I get a Qatar PCC urgently for a job offer?

Accepted Answer

Apply through the Metrash app right away with complete, clear documents and the purpose letter from your employer. Simple cases are usually approved within a few days. If the app flags missing fingerprints, go to the CEID office in person with your reference number instead of waiting.

Question 2

I left Qatar last year. Can I still get a PCC?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you lived in Qatar for at least six months. Get your fingerprints taken and attested locally, gather your passport copies, old residence permit copy, photos, and purpose letter, then submit through the nearest Qatari embassy or through a representative in Qatar with power of attorney. Allow two to four weeks for the round trip.

Question 3

Is Metrash2 still working in 2026?

Accepted Answer

No. Metrash2 was retired on 1 March 2025. Use the new Metrash app for all PCC applications.

Question 4

Can someone apply for a PCC on my behalf in Qatar?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A friend, relative, or colleague in Qatar with power of attorney can apply for you through Metrash or at the CEID office. Former residents also use this route when embassy submission is slow.

Question 5

How much does a Qatar PCC cost?

Accepted Answer

The standard fee is about QAR 10 per certificate, paid in the app by card. The exact amount appears at checkout and can vary with the delivery method.

Question 6

Do I need my fingerprints done in Qatar if I apply from abroad?

Accepted Answer

Not always. If the MOI already has your fingerprints on file, you may not need new ones. If you first entered Qatar more than ten years ago or your prints were never registered, you must provide an attested fingerprint card.

Question 7

Will Canadian immigration (IRCC) accept my Qatar PCC?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For IRCC applications, choose the email delivery option in Metrash and Qatar's MOI sends the certificate directly to IRCC by email. That is the accepted method.

Question 8

What is the CEID office address and timing?

Accepted Answer

The head office is in Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Al Rayyan Municipality, Zone 51, Doha, near Salwa Road. Reported working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Phone: +974 4508 6666. Email: ceid@moi.gov.qa.
